A new beginning

Alternate title: Oh god what have I done?

To just clarify any questions right off the bat: No, I haven't quit FFXI. I'm on hiatus until I have some cash again. Then I'll scurry back to Vana'deil like a good girl because I miss it terribly. IN THE MEANTIME. So I'm not just talking to nobody.

In the meantime, it seems  the call of the White Mage was too strong to pass up, and off to Eorzea I went.   

Grounds of... god damn, look at that exp!

One of the neat things about Grounds of Valor is that the longer you do it, the easier it gets with "mini-atma" bonuses, and the more exp you get per page.

I started out at 700 exp a page, at level 37.

I'm now 42.

So am I.

Well, dancer hit 40 today. Only nine more levels until I can change over to MNK. Squee!

and I'm not pathetically gimpy anymore. Thanks. I'm even dressed now.

You didn't check my skill level before buying me a Great Axe, so you spent almost two hours of me whiffing mobs.

Anyway! Since I've been hearing good things about it, I decided to hunt down a good Grounds of Valor camp. Outer Hototototototototototototo Ruins, you say? How hard can the cards be?



Oh, oh oh oh they are piss easy! 

The pages are really sweet, short and decent exp (only about 100 less than I was getting in Yutunga Jungle, but about half the danger of Final Sting bees/Bomb Toss gobs.), and the "mini-atma" bonuses you get are also awesome as well!

I guess when I start MNK and NIN, I'll follow the Grounds of Valor pages and see where they take me!

Since my empire in a little bit of a shamble right now, I decided to take my lovable...

TAKE MY LOVABLE MULE... out and make us a deadly duo. Using our existing job combos, I've decided to work on my MNK and his NIN. 

This way we can do MNK/WHM and RDM/NIN, the best team of jobs I can think of. 

First though, subjobs have to be in order. So, DNC for me and RDM for the mule!

Oh yes, RDM. Because you don't want to unlock and level SCH for me, is that right?

Bingo.


I've gotta say though, DNC is pretty fun. The numerous links I can handle without batting an eyelash makes it seem really freaking overpowered at this level. I'm currently at 21 and kicking ass and taking names.

I am helping you know. Even though I'm naked, with a sword you found in LaTheine, I'm enfeebling flies and sheeps so your pansy DNC ass does not end up face first in the sand.

This is going to be a fantastic reboot to your blog then. You've lost it to the point where you're talking to your mule. I can't wait to see how well you fair now. 

I need to find some daggers, since I'm still using hand-to-hand.. and I forgot DNC actually gets Duel Wield without NIN. I guess I'll go to Bastok and procure some weapons.
